Nour sitting on a couch looking ahead

My name is Nour Hejase and I created The Brave Project after a long season of reclaiming my own life. It grew out of a simple conviction: when you understand your inner architecture and learn how to regulate your body, you become capable of choices that once felt impossible. Brave is both the philosophy I live by and the method I now teach.

My professional and academic background is in socio-economic development and global affairs. I studied at NYU and went on to work in international development and with the United Nations, where I spent years inside high-stakes environments, rooms where decisions shaped systems, communities, and lives. That world trained me to analyze complexity, understand human behavior under pressure, and track the subtle patterns that drive decision-making.

Along the way, I deepened into the body. I became a certified yoga and meditation teacher and continued my training as an integrative somatic practitioner. This is the foundation of the somatic pillar of Brave: restoring coherence between mind and body so that change becomes something you feel, not just think about.

The Brave Project is where all of this comes together. It’s the work I’m most proud of: an approach that blends cognitive clarity, somatic intelligence, and personal courage. I guide high-functioning individuals through a process that helps them break old patterns, access their internal capacity, and lead lives they proudly claim as their own.

Courage is the undercurrent. It’s the virtue that makes every other virtue possible.
As Maya Angelou said, “Without courage, you can't practice any other virtue consistently.”

Brave is the place where you build that courage! Steadily, honestly, and from the inside out.
