Brave Story: From Racing Fear to Running Free
She thought that running ultra-marathons would be enough to outrun her fears. True bravery however, wasn’t about finishing the next race, it was about facing herself.
When she began her Brave Project, she was already strong in the ways the world could see; a passionate ultra trail runner. She was someone who knew how to push her limits.
Her inner world however, looked different. Inside she felt deeply anxious and confused. She believed that if she could conquer mountains and endure grueling training and races, her inner fears would eventually disappear. Yet, no matter how many finish lines she crossed, a quiet dissatisfaction lingered.
Through our sessions, she realized that true transformation doesn’t come from pushing harder. It comes from learning to meet yourself with love; especially the parts you once rejected.
Step by step, she shifted her mindset. It wasn’t for the races, but for her everyday life. She discovered that setting boundaries, honoring her needs, and embracing all sides of herself made her not just a stronger athlete, but more importantly a happier, more connected woman!
Since then, she completed a 42 Km ultra trail race in Italy, climbing from 0 to 3000 meters altitude, and placed 3rd. Now, she’s training for a 172 Km ultra trail endurance race.
Every step helps her celebrate how far she’s come in her inner journey. She no longer runs to outrun fear and an anxious mind. She runs because she’s fully at home within herself.
